Academic Calendar
The UA Academic Calendar is a helpful resource for you to visit often. It’s kept up-to-date with any changes and lists important dates related to each semester (opening of registration, first day of classes, last day to drop or add a course, exam schedules, etc.).
Online Student Success
Serves students from orientation through graduation. During your time as a student, you will interact with this team through distance learning student initiatives like monthly newsletters and other digital communications, success outreach and online resource events.
Academic Coaching and Skill-Building
Part of being successful in college is setting goals and developing an action plan to achieve them. Student Services offers academic coaching and skill-building sessions to help you:

Tutoring
The Capstone Center for Student Success
The Capstone Center for Student Success offers academic tutoring sessions for all UA students.
CCSS tutoring includes large and small group sessions, review sessions and drop-in help if you live in or near the Tuscaloosa campus, as well as distance tutoring both prescheduled and by appointment. Subjects include — but are not limited to — accounting, chemistry, math, biology and psychology. You can also contact CCSS and request tutoring in other subjects.

Office of Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services is the central campus resource for students who wish to request academic accommodations. In collaboration with students and instructors, ODS staff coordinates accommodations and support to ensure equal access to an education.
We encourage all student with specialized learning needs to reach out to ODS for support through your academic journey.
Library Services
When it comes to doing research, distance learners have a vast amount of full-text resources at their fingertips. The UA Libraries provide thousands of journal articles, newspapers and magazines, as well as collections of electronic books and other primary materials. Distance students can also take advantage of friendly, one-on-one research assistance.
Writing Center
The Writing Center provides professional consultations to all students, graduate and undergraduate, on campus and off. Get help with general writing skills and more discipline-specific forms of writing at any stage of the writing process.
Career Center
