As described in our mission statement, vision and core values, The University of Alabama is committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Alabamians and the people of the nation and the world. This award honors a past or present military service member who is currently enrolled in good standing with The University of Alabama Online and has demonstrated legendary service to their country and community.

Nominees will be considered for their dedication to excellence in performance, ability to overcome adversity and commitment to charitable endeavors.
The selected honoree will be eligible for a tuition grant equal to one semester’s classes through UA Online (three 3-credit-hour online courses). They will be honored at and receive two tickets to the Nov. 22, 2025, football game at Bryant-Denny Stadium (UA vs. Eastern Illinois University) and reasonable travel accommodations, including two nights’ stay at a local hotel for that weekend.
