UA Online Legendary Service Award Official Rules

PROMOTION NAME: “UA Online Legendary Service Award”

DATES: Starts – 9-15-23; Ends – 10-8-23

AWARD IS OPEN TO NOMINEES 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY WHO HAVE SERVED OR ARE SERVING IN ANY BRANCH OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES AND ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN GOOD STANDING IN CLASSES WITH UA ONLINE AND ARE ABLE TO ATTEND THE AWARD CEREMONY.

THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. 

SPONSOR: The University of Alabama Online (“UA Online” or “Sponsor”). 

ADMINISTRATOR: Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, LLC (“Administrator”).

  1. PROMOTION PERIOD: Award nominations begin at 12:00:01 a.m. CDT on Sept. 15 and end at 11:59:59 p.m. CDT on Oct. 8.
  2. NOMINATIONS: Limit one (1) nomination/entry per person/email address for the duration of the nomination period. Entries submitted from any person/email address in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of Administrator and will not be returned or verified. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated or mechanical means or that subverts the entry process will be void.
  3. ELIGIBILITY: Individuals 18 years of age and older at time of entry who are currently enrolled in good standing in classes through UA Online are eligible as nominees, except for employees of The University of Alabama and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household. Award is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
  4. SELECTION OF WINNING ENTRY: Entries will be evaluated by a committee within UA Online and a winner (“honoree”) will be selected during or about the week of Oct. 9, 2023, from among all eligible entries received. The selected honoree will be notified by email or phone. Failure to respond to the notification of winning within seven (7) calendar days of notification, or noncompliance with these Official Rules, may result in disqualification and, at Administrator’s sole discretion, an alternate honoree may be selected. Honoree will also be announced on the UA Online website following selection and notification.
  5. PRIZES: The honoree will receive a tuition grant equal to one semester’s classes (three 3-credit-hour online courses) through UA Online. The honoree will also receive two (2) tickets to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga vs. Alabama football game on Nov. 18, 2023, and two nights’ hotel accommodations in Tuscaloosa for Nov. 17 and 18, 2023. UA Online also will arrange for reasonable travel accommodations, as necessary, to facilitate the honoree’s attendance at the game. No cash substitutions for prizes will be permitted and prizes are nonrefundable and nontransferable except at sole discretion of Sponsor. No promise of particular courses or educational offering is stated or implied as a result of the tuition grant award. All taxes and all other costs associated with acceptance or use of the above prize(s) are the sole responsibility of the honoree.
  6. RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND PUBLICITY: The honoree consents to the use of their name, photograph, likeness and limited biographical information for publicity or advertising purposes without further compensation, where permitted by law. All entrants release Sponsor, Administrator, Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, LLC and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, partners, equity holders, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Award (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from, this Award and/or acceptance or use of the prize, including liability for personal injury, damages, death or monetary loss. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer relating to, or resulting from, entering or downloading any information or software in connection with this Award. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or late, failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Award, or by any human or other errors that may occur in connection with this Award. Submission of a nomination does not create any liability, promise, contract, or agreement (written or implied) by Sponsor or Administrator to any nominee.
  7. GENERAL RULES: The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, illegible, late, delayed or misdirected mail or email or other communications, or for any error in the printing or interpretation of the offer, the administration of the Award or in any announcement of the winners or prizes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest, in its entirety or in part, should tampering, unauthorized intervention, counterfeiting, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the contest. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest, to be acting in violation of the Rules or any laws, or to be attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest by cheating, hacking, deception, misappropriation, infringement, or any other unfair playing practices, poor sportsmanship, or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other participants or Sponsor representatives.
