As a faculty or staff member of an Alabama or partner community college, you can earn a degree from The University of Alabama wherever you are, around your schedule!
To assist you in your academic journey, we offer the Tide Together tuition grant. This grant is equal to the cost of one 3-credit-hour course during your first semester of enrollment in a UA Online degree program.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a faculty or staff member of an Alabama community college or partnering out-of-state community college
- Be newly admitted and enrolled in a UA Online degree program
- Not have previously received this or any other Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education tuition grant for the same degree program
Apply for the Tide Together Tuition Grant
You must be enrolled in at least one 3-credit hour class and submit your application for the Tide Together tuition grant no later than the last day to add classes for the full term. For the summer semester, you must submit the application and enroll prior to the last day to register for Summer 1, Summer 2 or the full summer term. See below for registration deadlines:
- Summer 2025: May 30 (Full Summer), May 28 (Summer 1), July 3 (Summer 2)
- Fall 2025: Aug. 27
- Spring 2026: Jan. 14
