Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a waiver of the application fee, you must:

  • Meet the minimum admission criteria for your program
  • Have a minimum of at least an overall 3.0 GPA or a 3.0 GPA in your graduate program, based on a 4.0 scale
  • Meet the minimum admission and language scores
  • Submit your completed application and all supporting documents before the deadlines outlined below
  • One application fee waiver code is allowed per student and will only be valid for a single application. Applicants who wish to submit multiple applications must pay the application fee for any applications beyond the initial application.

The free application is only good for the original term and program. Any changes will require that an application fee be paid.

Final determination of the application fee waiver approval is the sole discretion of the Graduate School.

Deadlines

  • The application wavier code may be used from Monday, Oct. 17 at 8 a.m. CT until Friday, Oct. 21 at 4:45 p.m. CT.
  • All supporting documents must be received by Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. CT or the application fee will be required.

Available to community college graduates who are newly admitted to a UA Online degree program as first-time transfer students.

Back to Bama Grant

Assists former UA students returning to UA to complete their bachelor’s degree online.

Military Tuition Grant

Covers tuition costs beyond military tuition assistance for active duty service members.

You must meet the grant’s specific requirements, apply by the deadline and be in your first semester in one of our online programs.
