With the EdD for Nurse Educators program, you will learn the teaching and research skills necessary to help you effectively lead your students. The interdisciplinary course of study combines classes from the College of Education and the Capstone College of Nursing to give you a broad base of knowledge to bring into the classroom.
Like other distance learning degree programs at UA, the EdD for Nurse Educators is fully accredited. The convenient hybrid format, including access to 24/7 tech support, allows you to balance your school, work and other responsibilities.
If the thought of going back to school seems daunting, rest assured that our cohorts are filled with diverse students and taught by supportive faculty who enjoy working with experienced nurses like you!

With few exceptions, our online degree programs are available in a work-at-your-own-pace format. Within each course, assignment deadlines vary, but you get to decide how many courses you want to take each semester to complete your degree. Undergraduate degree program completion times depend on how many hours you transfer in, but most students finish in three to six years. Most of our master’s programs can be completed in one to three years and doctoral programs in three to six years, according to your desired pace.
